How the certified Kia program works.

Kia dealer receives an off-lease Kia car or one that has been traded in, that vehicle is evaluated by the dealer's service department. In order to be eligible for certification, the pre-owned Kia cars must be no more than five model years old. It also must have been well maintained and have less than 60,000 miles on the odometer.

I f the certified pre-owned Kia meets these basic criteria, the dealership runs a vehicle history report and mechanics check it over carefully to be sure it meets Kia's guidelines. If it does, then a thorough inspection is performed and if any problems are found, they are corrected and repaired so that the condition of the vehicle is as close to "as new" as possible.
